CAIIB December 2026 Registration Status
IIBF originally scheduled registration to begin on 1 September 2026, then postponed the opening for technical reasons. Candidates should rely on the latest IIBF registration notice/portal for the final applicable registration window and payment status. The official 2026–27 examination schedule remains the primary source for exam dates.
CAIIB Papers to Prepare
The revised CAIIB structure includes four compulsory papers:
- Advanced Bank Management (ABM)
- Bank Financial Management (BFM)
- Advanced Business & Financial Management (ABFM)
- Banking Regulations & Business Laws (BRBL)
In addition, the candidate chooses one elective from:
- Rural Banking
- Human Resources Management
- Information Technology & Digital Banking
- Risk Management
- Central Banking
CAIIB 90-Day Preparation Roadmap
Phase 1 — Concept Coverage
Build module-wise coverage of all compulsory papers and the chosen elective. Prepare concise notes while studying; do not postpone numericals in BFM/ABFM.
Phase 2 — Consolidation & MCQs
Start the consolidation phase with:
- Second revision
- Chapter-wise MCQs
- Numerical drills
- Error-notebook revision
- Revisiting weak modules
Phase 3 — Exam Revision
Shift the focus to:
- Mixed tests
- Full-length mocks
- Formula sheets
- Legal and regulatory revision
- High-frequency error areas
Candidates starting late should compress Phase 1 and protect sufficient time for Phases 2 and 3.
Paper-wise CAIIB Strategy
- ABM: Management, statistics/economics and credit-management concepts with application-based MCQs.
- BFM: Repeated calculation practice plus formulas and treasury/risk concepts in a short revision sheet.
- ABFM: Conceptual business-finance topics with numerical/problem-solving practice.
- BRBL: Legal provisions, banking regulations and similar-looking rules using structured comparison tables and repeated revision.
- Elective: Integrate the selected elective into weekly revision from the beginning.
MCQ & Mock-Test Plan
- After each chapter, attempt targeted MCQs.
- Reattempt wrong and guessed questions after a short gap.
- Use sectional tests after each module.
- Move to mixed/full mocks after first revision.
- Analyse accuracy, concept gaps and time usage—not only the score.
